Shanda and Malauna both told me they enjoyed the story very much, but wanted to know where we were connected, genealogically speaking. She is the great-grandmother of our grandmother, Lou Ella Jones.
Clinton Doneral Bronson was also a member of the Mormon Battalion (Company A). He is the grandfather of our grandfather George William Bronson. There's a fun story about him and how he "stole" his wife, Lovisa Andrews, from her parents' home, when they wanted her to marry someone else.
